As we sail through the scenic Beagle Channel in the morning, watch for the rare, endemic Peale’s dolphins and other wildlife. Once we leave the channel, our journey down to the legendary Cape Horn begins. Dutchman Willem Schouten discovered this headland on Hornos Island in 1616. For centuries, it was a major landmark in the old clipper routes that connected Europe with the Far East and Oceania. From Buenos Aires, you'll fly to Ushuaia before setting off for Cape Horn, where we'll attempt a landing.

Once through, we’ll cruise deep into the heart of the Chilean fjords, surrounded by panoramic views, as we head towards Garibaldi Fjord. After picking up your expedition jacket and meeting your Expedition Team, find your cabin and explore the ship, before enjoying the first of many delicious meals on board as we set sail. In Patagonia, you will feel the immensity of nature and delight in feeling completely insignificant in its presence. Setting sail from the UNESCO hilltop gem of Valparaíso, we sail south to picturesque Niebla and charming Castro.

This is just one example of what you may see under the azure sky, but perhaps one of the strongest points of the Chilean fjords is that they deliver variety. Then there is the iconic wildlife you can experience, be it the dolphins leaping alongside our boat of the elephant seals relaxing on the shore - keeping one eye open for predators, of course.
